एक हुए सब हिन्दू मुस्लिम ऐसी कीं तक़रीरें
देस हुआ आज़ाद हमारा सोचें वो तदबीरें
उन के ही ईसार-ओ-अमल से देस हुआ आबाद

दूर-अँदेशी ऐसी जिस का कोई नहीं था सानी
हक़-गोई थी ऐसी इन की बात हर इक ने मानी
उन के अज़्म के आगे हो गए दुश्मन पानी पानी

एक मुफ़क्किर एक मुदब्बिर एक सियासत-दाँ भी
मुल्क-ओ-क़ौम की ख़ातिर देने को तय्यार थे जाँ भी
क्या दुनिया में पैदा होगा फिर ऐसा इंसाँ भी
उन के ही ईसार-ओ-अमल से देस हुआ आबाद

दिल को रौशन कर देती है तफ़्सीर-ए-क़ुरआन
इंसानों से उल्फ़त करना था उन का ईमान
सब कुछ लिख कर भी बाक़ी था लिखने का अरमान
